The Planning Commissioning Vehicle Electronics (PIF) team provides vehicle production with the means to commission vehicles electronically. The commissioning process includes ensuring the correct setup, data entry for control units and calibration of assistance systems. This includes the rollout of the test technology, the parameterization and integration of the associated commissioning software as well as the provision of data and planning of the required test scopes and processes. Furthermore, the PIF team secures the software networks in the pre-series phase before the assembly line runs in order to enable a smooth setup.
The team "Planning Component Production" accompanies projects mainly in the business area component of the VW Group with focus on Kassel. On the one hand, we plan and project body assembly lines for add-on parts. Furthermore, we support and accompany the transformation process in the areas of exhaust systems and transmissions to components for electromobility with our know-how for project coordination, material flow and layout planning.
In the specialist areas of automation technology, store floor IT and bolting technology, we act as the exclusive planning service provider for the entire Volkswagen Group. Our professional and cross-trade activities cover the entire vehicle development process, from the preparation of specifications to defect-free final acceptance and handover to the operator. In addition, we are a strategic partner of the Production Lab and develop and test the latest technologies that are used in production.
As a strategic partner for our customers in the Volkswagen Group, we are active on the part of APG Logistics Planning in the areas of logistics technology (SLT planning and testing, HHG, SQW), smart logistics (FTS) as well as process and material flow planning for the planning and coordination of the early phase of the project up to the operational handover to the operator.
The Supplier and Purchased Parts Management team accompanies/is responsible for projects involving the support of all externally manufactured components - from individual parts to complex assemblies. To ensure project start-ups, intensive support of international suppliers is of enormous importance. The early phase of the projects is an important cornerstone for a successful project, just as the coordination within the company with different interface partners is a central part of our work.
